Imagine a rosebush with a\u00a0white rosebud<\/em> not yet open.<\/p>\n

The rose<\/em> is a child of the earth<\/em> where its roots anchor it;<\/p>\n

Of the sun<\/em> which inflames it;<\/p>\n

Of the life-giving water<\/em> and air<\/em>, that flow around it.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Carry this white rosebud into the holy chamber of your heart.\u00a0<\/p>\n

There, let it grow.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Slowly, slowly, its petals unfold until the white rose blossom is fully-blown.<\/p>\n

You smell its gentle fragrance.\u00a0 You feel white light infuse your whole being.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Finally, you perceive the glowing golden letters that adorn each petal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

On the first and outer petals you see:<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Honesty<\/strong> – <\/strong>it is the first essential on the spiritual path<\/p>\n

Discretion and Silence \u2013 <\/strong>only to the discreet will the mysteries be unveiled.<\/p>\n

Patience and perseverance<\/strong> \u2013 bring you to the gate of the temple<\/p>\n

Courage and fortitude \u2013 <\/strong>carry you across the dark abyss to reach the light.<\/p>\n

On the middle petals you see:<\/p>\n

Modesty \u2013 <\/strong>on the earth live modestly<\/strong><\/p>\n

Humility \u2013 <\/strong>in the presence of God be humble<\/p>\n

Tolerance <\/strong>\u2013 there are many pathways to God <\/strong><\/p>\n

Kindness \u2013 <\/strong>open your heart<\/p>\n

Restraint \u2013 <\/strong>as a peacemaker be slow to anger<\/em><\/p>\n
