Eliz ? On this call that we\u2019re on now, are you incurring a long-distance charge?<\/p>\n
Ed ? Yes, but I have unlimited long distance calling; I pay a flat fee per month, so I don\u2019t need to be limited by that.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? This was a great idea.\u00a0 We are so few and far between\u2014we are scattered so widely that most people just don\u2019t have the luxury at all of having other members who they can physically get together with.<\/p>\n
Edie ? Ed called me and told me about this free conference call and explained it, and he said, you know we could do the Healing Service with up to 96 people on this one number.\u00a0 Years ago, like 16 or 17 years ago, we used to try to get together.\u00a0 We would get together at Ed\u2019s or at Donald Lynch\u2019s and do the Healing Service every week.\u00a0 Now, we\u2019ve all gotten older (laughing) we\u2019re on fixed incomes, we don\u2019t move around as much, you know.\u00a0 And so this is like: this is wonderful.\u00a0 We don\u2019t have to have a place.\u00a0 It would be nice to have a place like Richard has where everyone can go.\u00a0 So, this really excited me because I love the services, and this was something that I could do.<\/p>\n
Ed ? Edie has been a blessing.\u00a0 She is the one that does the reading.\u00a0 She set up the music in the background.\u00a0 She\u2019s the anchor person.\u00a0 We all appreciate her; she\u2019s steady as a rock; she\u2019s there on time.<\/p>\n
Edie ? I say thank you to Ed and thank you to God for giving us the idea, the hook-ups, and whatever it took, because he opened an opportunity for me to serve.\u00a0 And I am so grateful.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Yes, I really understand that.\u00a0 Somebody sent me an e-mail just yesterday and said he couldn\u2019t find the Moon Dates and Healing Dates in French anywhere, and he was concerned that others could not find them either; I assume this person is from France, although I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 So, he had typed them out in the traditional format and sent them to me, asking me to pass them on to Mount Ecclesia or to someone who could add them to the official website.\u00a0 He said, I must say that The Rosicrucian Fellowship is very important in my life, and it is a great joy to help it a little, if I can.<\/p>\n
Edie ? We did a little at a time when we first started; we didn\u2019t have music, and then Johnny Perko sent me music, the opening and closing hymns.\u00a0 I had to learn how to put it on a disc.\u00a0 I had to put it on my computer and the volume was not very loud.\u00a0 But I did something wrong.\u00a0 I can\u2019t play it on what I call my boom box so I could get more volume.\u00a0 Anyway, for awhile we just didn\u2019t have any music.\u00a0 Now we do have the opening and closing hymns.<\/p>\n
Also, on Wednesday nights we have a little study group going.\u00a0 We\u2019re going through the Cosmo. That\u2019s also working well, using this conference number and if Ed was able to get this conference number, perhaps other groups can get one and do this also, for hooking up their study group or for lessons.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Yes, what time do you do the Wednesday study group?<\/p>\n
Ed ? At 7:00 Eastern Standard Time<\/p>\n
Edie ? We\u2019ve downloaded the Cosmo on our computers, so wherever we left off, I just start reading.\u00a0 If someone wants to stop and ask questions or make comments, we\u2019re not in a big rush.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t matter if we only get to one paragraph; we usually do this for about an hour.\u00a0 And it\u2019s really been wonderful, the discussion and comments \u2013 the repetition.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Do you know Alexandre?\u00a0 Do you know who I mean, the man who has the websites?<\/p>\n
Edie ? From Rio de Janeiro?<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Yes, have you seen that he has the study guides for the Cosmo?<\/p>\n
Edie ? Yes I saw one of them, but I thought, where was the first one? \u00a0I\u2019ve missed some of them.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Yes, I missed some too, but I went back and was able to find them.\u00a0 I can send them to you.\u00a0 In fact, recently he posted them again, I think it was because somebody else made the request, so I can see that you get them.\u00a0 You know, they really are good !<\/p>\n

I have been so incredibly grateful for the opportunity of doing these services.\u00a0 There are times when Ed hasn\u2019t been able to be on, because we do it ON the healing date, and those dates [day of the week] change.\u00a0 Ed has many things that he does.\u00a0 I said that I made a dedication to do this; I said I WILL be there.\u00a0 It\u2019s a wonderful opportunity.\u00a0 I am so grateful and thank the Elder Brothers for this opportunity because I get so frustrated with myself, because I just feel so limited and helpless by what little I can do to serve, versus going out to Oceanside.\u00a0\u00a0 This is like a most wonderful avenue of service \u2013 I just love it!<\/p>\n
Ed ? We so appreciate her, and I\u2019ll say this.\u00a0 With the classes we do on Wednesday, we\u2019ve got every kind of person in there.\u00a0 We\u2019ve got probationers, students AND people who are friends who are not connected to the Rosicrucian Fellowship who enjoy this stuff so much.<\/p>\n
Edie ? We usually end up talking about their personal experiences \u2013 relating to what it is we\u2019re reading and that helps the ones who are not students of the philosophy, they haven\u2019t gone through any of that.\u00a0 I think it helps them to understand more how it works.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? For people who have never been exposed to these teachings it must be one revelation after another.<\/p>\n
Edie ? You know, Elizabeth, what we have thought is that they have started with this in past lives, because when you can talk to someone and tell them about experiences that follow from past lives, we can talk about life on other planets, spiritual hierarches, constellations, and they don\u2019t bat an eye.\u00a0 We know they\u2019re ahead of the game.\u00a0 (Of waking up.)\u00a0 The reality of their own spirituality; they already understand that they\u2019re just being reminded; it\u2019s time for them to wake up in this life.\u00a0 Absolutely, that\u2019s what\u2019s happening!<\/p>\n
Eliz ? How long have you been doing this with the services and everything?<\/p>\n
Ed ? Uh, when did we start, Edie?<\/p>\n
Edie ? Let\u2019s see, I don\u2019t know.\u00a0 We also do the Equinox and Solstice Services.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? It sounds like you do the whole calendar.<\/p>\n
Ed ? Laughter<\/p>\n
Edie ? Oh, it\u2019s so wonderful, it has to be since last summer?\u00a0 Last spring?<\/p>\n
Ed ? I remember, it was right after conclave, about the middle of September.<\/p>\n
Edie ? September of 2008.\u00a0 I remember, I thought, I haven\u2019t read through the Cosmo since I did it as a student in the late 80\u2019s.\u00a0 My life took a big turn, and it\u2019s like I went straight back into experience here;\u00a0my higher self \u00a0told me to, \u201cstart all over,\u201d and boy did I start all over.\u00a0\u00a0Ed said, let\u2019s do it on the phone.\u00a0 So, we were just using our regular phones.\u00a0 So, we decided once a week we\u2019re going to get on the phone, and I\u2019m going to pull all of my student lessons out.\u00a0 We went through all the student lessons, you know – the ones you have to answer, the beginning ones, and then the ones after you become a student that you don\u2019t have to answer.\u00a0 We went through all of those.\u00a0 We were doing one a week.<\/p>\n
Ed ? Oh, we enjoyed that, that \u2026..<\/p>\n
Edie ? About the time we finished that last lesson \u2013 that is when this thing about the conference call came up.<\/p>\n
Ed ? Let me give you some idea what happened.\u00a0 I had a conversation with Edgar during late summer, because I had an illumination of something, and he lit into it.\u00a0 He told me that the things in the spiritual world have a correspondence to things in the physical world, and I saw that so clearly.\u00a0 I said, Edie, we need to start studying in the Cosmo, and it\u2019s the third chapter in the Cosmo that spoke about the correspondence between the spiritual world and the physical world.\u00a0 We started at the very beginning of the third chapter and we invited other people on that call.<\/p>\n
Edie ? Yes, we went right on the conference call from our personal \u2013 each other \u2013 we said we can put this on; we can.\u00a0 Let\u2019s do a conference and invite others. That\u2019s how we went from us studying together to a conference.\u00a0 We started with the third chapter.<\/p>\n
Ed ? You asked me something awhile back about how I started the conclaves?<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Yes.<\/p>\n
Ed ? Back in 1977 I became a probationer.\u00a0 It was the summer of \u201977.\u00a0 One of the first Echoes I read had a calendar date of a conclave in Battle Creek.\u00a0 I told the group back then, \u201cHey!\u00a0 There\u2019s a Rosicrucian Fellowship group having a conclave up in Battle Creek.\u00a0 I think I want to go.\u00a0 Do you guys want to go?\u201d\u00a0 At first they didn\u2019t, but a few days before I was to go, they said, \u201cYes.\u201d<\/p>\n
They got a couple of cars together, and we drove up to Battle Creek early Saturday morning.\u00a0 We got there just in time to, HA! \u2013 interrupt one of the lecturers; Michael Miles was speaking at that time.\u00a0 Richard was sitting up there in the front row, and as soon as we started walking in, Michael stopped and looked at us.\u00a0 Richard was sitting on a corner chair; he turned around and almost fell off \u2013 got up and came back to greet us in.\u00a0 It was an experience that I had never had before, because,,,,,,,,,well, they took good care of us.\u00a0 They looked after us.\u00a0 There was about a half-a-dozen or more of us black folks, in the middle of a white conclave, so that\u2019s how that went.\u00a0 Uh, next day.\u00a0 Virginia S who put this conclave on came over to me and asked me a few questions.\u00a0 The first question she asked me \u2013 she said, do I know of anyone who would be interested in carrying on this conclave, because she could no longer carry it on herself.\u00a0 I said, I\u2019ll DO it.\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s how it initially\u2026\u2026<\/p>\n
I went and talked to Richard.\u00a0 I said, we want to have a conclave here in Detroit, and we would like for you all to come, next time.<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cWell\u2026\u2026\u2026..that is nice\u2026\u2026, but it costs money for lodging and stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n
I said, \u201cNo, you guys can stay with us.\u00a0 You don\u2019t have to worry about hotel bills or expenses.\u00a0 And we\u2019ll take care of your food or whatever we eat.\u201d<\/p>\n
He said, \u201cOK.\u201d\u00a0 It was on.\u00a0 The next year we had a conclave in Ferndale, Michigan, and we had over 100, pretty close to 150 people.\u00a0 The year after that we had about 60 to 65 people.\u00a0 Typically, since then, our conclaves have been in the neighborhood of 35 or 45 people.<\/p>\n
Richard invited us to come to his conclave in Madison on Memorial Day weekend.\u00a0 We had ours right after school was out, usually somewhere around the end of June or July, but later on we started doing it on Labor Day weekend.\u00a0 That was best for everybody.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? It\u2019s kind of like bookends on the summer with Madison and their Memorial Day conclave and then you with your Labor Day one.<\/p>\n
Ed ? I\u2019m going to be doing a few more things.\u00a0 I have a marketing system that I pay for on a regular basis as a tool where you can send an advertisement of what you\u2019re doing around the world to over 2 or 3 million websites worldwide, so I\u2019d just like to have your permission, if I can blast your RFFriends\u2026\u2026..<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Oh, sure !<\/p>\n
Ed ? Okay.\u00a0 Then, in another month or so, we\u2019re going to have a conference room where you can view a website <\/strong>and that could be used for classes \u2013 like in Astrology where I could put a chart right on the screen and talk about the aspects or angles or even how to calculate it.<\/p>\nEliz ? And so you\u2019ve got audio and video on the computer \u2013 and is it interactive or just one-way?<\/p>\n
Ed ? It is interactive in this sense.\u00a0 We have a section on the left side, a column where you can type in a question that you might have, and the speaker will be able to see that instantly.\u00a0 This is going to be available within the next month or so.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? On that marketing system that you pay for on a regular basis; you\u2019ve got memorandums or something that go out to a few \u201cmillion<\/em>\u201d E-mail addresses?<\/p>\nEd ? Not e-mail addresses, but websites.\u00a0 This is one of my missions \u2013 is to spread the teachings.\u00a0 Right now the numbers at the Fellowship are going down.\u00a0 There\u2019s got to be a way in which the numbers can go up.\u00a0 We\u2019ve got a new generation of folks that are coming in right now, and one of them that I am excited about is a member in Lebanon whose name is \u201cCarlos.\u201d\u00a0 He goes by the name \u201cLightRays\u201d when he writes stuff.\u00a0 He was on the healing list and I was assigned to do his chart, to make some recommendations.\u00a0 \u201cAfter that we became real great friends.\u00a0 He has very expensive audio equipment.\u00a0 He\u2019s a photographer and does work in doing flash videos and such for radio and TV stations in Beirut.\u00a0 So, it\u2019s very exciting.\u00a0 He\u2019s a student member and is about ready to become a probationer.\u00a0 He wants to use his talent to spread the teachings.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to be hooking up with him through a creative website to further advance that stuff.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to do that, and I\u2019m going to further advance your website.\u00a0 I\u2019m going to make sure that your website\u2019s in all of the major search engines around the world.\u00a0 You will find in the next couple of weeks or a month an increase of the number of visitors to your site.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? That will be really great.\u00a0 It\u2019s interesting to me, well, you see I was working with Allen, and I don\u2019t know how to do any of this, but there\u2019s something called DADA mail.\u00a0 Every time a new article is put on my website\u2026\u2026.you get the little e-mail, I guess you know, RFFriends.\u00a0 So, my list is about 442 people.\u00a0\u00a0 That\u2019s how many people get that little announcement.\u00a0 I can watch the statistics and every time something is uploaded, especially if it\u2019s something that people find interesting, it spikes.\u00a0 Lots more people are coming in and\u2026..<\/p>\n
You know, it\u2019s just amazing, to all of us that have one limitation or another, it\u2019s like the world has opened up and now the only constraint that we have is our ability to gain the knowledge to use all of this electronic marvel stuff.\u00a0 It\u2019s like climbing a mountain every time I have to learn something new.<\/p>\n
Ed ? But I love it and I eat it up, so this is how we are all connected.\u00a0 We all have certain talents.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have the audio-video talent of Carlos; I don\u2019t even have that kind of professional equipment, but in my own way I do what I love doing.\u00a0 We all have our talents, and I am using them, because I am driven to spread the teachings to as many people as I possibly can on this planet.\u00a0 Edie is driven to be the spokesperson for us, and she\u2019s an excellent one.\u00a0 We all are committed.\u00a0 And I love your website; I just \u2013 I can\u2019t stay on for too long, I just like to maximize my time with getting in and out of stuff as quickly as possible.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s so wonderful to be able to read and now even listen to Richard.\u00a0 What was done at the Winter School, like I say, I don\u2019t have the resources to \u2013 I have never had the resources to travel.\u00a0 I would have loved through all the years all the schools at Oceanside.\u00a0 I\u2019ve never been able to attend any of them; and now to be able to read or listen to these lectures \u2013 It is so-o-o wonderful.\u00a0\u00a0 Thank you, Elizabeth, for making that available to us.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Yes, I just thought that it should be made available to more people.\u00a0 We\u2019ve had the privilege \u2013 it\u2019s been so long that we\u2019ve had this privilege that we just take it for granted.\u00a0 We don\u2019t even value it like we should which is just so crazy here.<\/p>\n
Edie ? Yes, when he asked if we would want him to come here and hold \u2013 like a school, both my hands shot up, and he came, but it\u2019s just so difficult when you don\u2019t have a place.\u00a0 Like Richard has his place, his store, but we don\u2019t have that.\u00a0 So, there was this and that going on, and he wasn\u2019t able to come back.\u00a0 We did it in someone\u2019s home.\u00a0 It was just an apartment; it was just difficult.\u00a0\u00a0 The last time he came here, he said \u201cyou should come out to Oceanside.\u00a0 We\u2019re doing classes there now.\u201d<\/p>\n
I said, \u201cI know, but I don\u2019t have the resources to travel.\u201d\u00a0 So, yes, to have them here now it\u2019s just wonderful.\u00a0 I mean your site again is just opening up, spreading the teachings, because we\u2019re getting the schools and everything, from Oceanside and from Madison.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Isn\u2019t it wonderful.\u00a0 It\u2019s something we\u2019ve been waiting for, for a long time \u2013 I don\u2019t think we knew we were waiting for it, but that capability came and, boy, we have to take advantage.<\/p>\n
Edie ? Since the 100-year anniversary, and some months before that, it\u2019s almost like the Phoenix rising out of the ashes.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? Isn\u2019t it?!<\/p>\n
Ed ? I like that.<\/p>\n
Edie ? It\u2019s like we\u2019ve been given a new impulse; new thoughts; new ideas.\u00a0 It\u2019s like, okay, now we\u2019re going to go forward.\u00a0 And as you know, people have made remarks about Oceanside and about how it has gone down, and about how it was when Max Heindel was here, and you know —-[emotionally]\u00a0—-\u00a0there\u2019s a Temple in all Jerusalem in the ethers\u2026\u2026 (and now here goes the heart) and now that\u2019s where the wars are, and it\u2019s like this\u00a0struggle is going on between the black and white brotherhoods.\u00a0 Wherever the white brotherhood is strongest, the black brotherhood will be there.\u00a0 But light is greater than darkness, and if we add our heart’s love to radiate with the Elder Brothers at midnight, or anytime, the sooner we will have peace on earth.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? So many members have got this great sensitivity.\u00a0 If you\u2019ve got that kind of sensitivity without having a lot of positivity along with it, it\u2019s like you can be led around like a marionette, and the evil forces have a field day with you.<\/p>\n
Edie ? That\u2019s where we need to send love and light to our brothers and sisters to reinforce their good, and this is how we\u2019re being strengthened.<\/p>\n
Eliz ? And this is what we need to help everyone to understand \u2013 what has been happening over a hundred years and is still happening.<\/p>\n
Edie ? But it\u2019s going to get better.\u00a0 It has to get better, because many things are opening up.<\/p>\n
Eliz \u2013? Yes.\u00a0 It\u2019s a whole new world.\u00a0 Just in the last \u2013 YEAR !<\/p>\n
Edie ? it\u2019s just happening \u2013 at the hundredth year\u2026\u2026 and also like the thousandth year.\u00a0\u00a0 The service we receive from The Christ’s annual sacifice , the Archangels and Elder Brothers and others are what is giving us this added surge and impulse of energy to spread the teachings and heal the sick<\/p>\n
Ed ? I really appreciate the closeness that is coming, almost daily, like in Facebook.\u00a0 It seems like I have gotten a slew of Rosicrucian members that have signed up to be a friend on Facebook \u2013 people in South America \u2013 everywhere.\u00a0 I don\u2019t even know them.\u00a0 Yet they become a friend on \u2013 I do Twitter as well, and I give the Healing and Sunday service \u2013 some astrological tips on my Twitter site.\u00a0 You\u2019ll be getting more and more curious people, each and every week, who are following me on the Twitter site.\u00a0 It\u2019s a brand new world.<\/p>\n
