Symbolism and The Aquarian Age<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0With the intent only to reveal and not conceal, most of the editorial illustrations of lecture seven are separated out and included here.\u00a0 <\/span>Some contain little stories of their own.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Relative to the Age of Aquarius the push comes from the Age of Pisces and the pull comes from Capricorn who\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>likes to have pull<\/em> anyway, that\u2019s its basic nature.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>In Greek mythology there was a place called the Garden of the Hesperides<\/strong>. \u00a0\u00a0<\/span>In the garden there was a tree.\u00a0\u00a0T<\/span>he Hesperides, whose garden it was planted in, were very unique beings.\u00a0 <\/span>They were called the Touch Sisters, because all they had to do was touch you and they knew about you.\u00a0 <\/span>And if they didn\u2019t touch you they didn\u2019t know you were there at all.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Five illustrations of Paul indicate differences in subjective perception.\u00a0 <\/span>Even the artist, Rembrandt, \u00a0gives three\u00a0different examples of Paul;\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Remarkably, Rembrandt did a self portrait, posing as Paul for one representation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0With all of these iconographic images are we closer to knowing the real Paul or have they distanced us from knowing him?\u00a0 <\/span>Have we the discriminatory powers to filter through the false to find that which is true?\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>Have we a clearer sight than the artist?\u00a0 <\/span>Are we affected by the subjectivity of the artist or is there a little bit of Paul (and the artist) in all of us?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

There is a lovely poet by the name of David Whyte who talks about this process inwardly.\u00a0 <\/span>He talks about repressed images that get \"david-whyte_falls6\"<\/a><\/span>pushed down and down almost like geological strata until they become very potent.\u00a0 <\/span>And then they come up as something new.\u00a0 <\/span>Manifestations of them become highly creative.\u00a0 <\/span>It\u2019s what is happening inside of our selves.\u00a0 <\/span>Sometimes they burst out and we cannot control them anymore even if we want to. http:\/\/www.davidwhyte.com\/home.html<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0We take things for granted here, and we are presented with symbols that are incongruous.\u00a0 \"gryphani4\"<\/a><\/span>For example in mythology we have griffons and sphinxes and all kinds of animals that are incongruent.\u00a0 <\/span>They don\u2019t fit together right.\u00a0 <\/span>And if you\u2019re interpreting your dream and you are trying to get to the most meaningful part of the dream, look at the part that\u2019s the oddest.\u00a0 <\/span>You know, all those impossible things happen, so symbols, by being incongruent, can bring us right to the point where we are to direct our consciousness.\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0The most complex of all these symbols are called mandalas<\/em>.\u00a0 <\/span>One of the grandest mandalas of all is the astrological mandala.\u00a0 \"microcosm-mandala-13\"<\/a><\/span>In it all of the constellations are lined up or called the signs, and all of the signs are lined up with all of the houses, and all of the planets are in their signs and houses of rulership, and the aspects are implicit within it.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span>It is the ideal universe.\u00a0 <\/span>Just about everything that is in the external universe is in the symbolic universe of the mandala, which means a lot of good thinking.<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
