You Are Desperately Needed

A Message forwarded by our friend, Ela:

Dear Ones,

Today the Grandmothers woke me with this message and asked me to send it out. Please forward it on so we reach as many people as possible.

Maybe you can use this information, or know someone who would.

You can get information on The Thirteen Grandmothers and their work.  I also got a letter which contained a message from Dr.Imoto, who is the researcher who worked with water and took photographs showing how it responds to emotions.  He knows people are understandably angry about the gulf oil spill, and he asks us, to change matters thru prayer, focusing on the waters, and the beings who live in and on them, sending our love, asking for forgiveness.

“We ask you to cast, anchor, and hold the Net of Light steady for the Gulf of Mexico ,” the Grandmothers said. “This crisis is affecting the entire world, and humanity is asleep. Wake up!” they cried. “Animals are dying, plants are dying, and your Mother is writhing in agony. If you hold the Net of Light steady at this time you will help stave off further catastrophe.
“You have been lulled into a false sleep,” they said, “told that others (B.P.) will take care of this problem. This is not so,” they said. “And this is not the time for you to fall into oblivion. Determine now to stay awake, and once you have made that commitment, think of, cast, and hold the Net of Light. Hold it deep and hold it wide.
Amplify its reach to penetrate the waters of the Gulf and dive deep beneath the crust of Mother Earth. Anchor it at the earth’s core and as you hold it there, ask it to unify with the mineral kingdom of this planet. It will do this and will harmonize with all the solid and liquid mineral states on earth-including oil and gas. The Net of Light will call these minerals back into harmony. Men have wreaked havoc. They have abused the kingdoms of life on earth for many years, but this time their destruction has reached crisis proportions.
“Whatever human beings have damaged, human beings must correct,” the Grandmothers said. “This is the law.
We repeat: This is the law. You cannot sit back and ask God to fix the mess humanity has created. Each of you must throw your shoulders to the wheel and work. We are asking for your help. Several years ago we gave you the Net of Light so you would be able to help the earth at times like this. Step forward now. This is the Net of Light that will hold the earth during the times of change that are upon you,” they said.
“First move into your heart and call on us. We will meet you there. The Net of Light is lit by the jewel of your heart,” they said, “so move into this lighted place within you and open to the Net of which you are a part. Bask in its calming presence. It holds you at the same time that you hold it.
“Now think of magnifying your union with us. We, the Great Council of the Grandmothers, are with you now, and all those who work with the Net of Light are also with you. There are thousands, even millions now connected in light,” they said. “Along with this union, call forth the power of the sacred places on earth. These will amplify the potency of our joint effort. Then call on the sacred beings that have come to prevent the catastrophe that threatens to overwhelm your planet. We will work together,” they said, nodding slowly.
“Think of, cast and magnify the presence of the Net of Light in the Gulf of Mexico . See, imagine or think of it holding the waters, holding the land, the plants, the sea life, and the people. Holding them all!” they said. “The Net of Light is holding them steady; it is returning them to balance. Let the love within your lighted heart keep pouring into the Net of Light and hold, hold, hold. Calmly and reverently watch as the light from your heart flows along the strands of the Net. It will follow your command and continuously move forth. As soon as you think of it, it will happen. We ask you to practice this for only a few minutes at a time, but to repeat it throughout the day and night.
“We promise that this work with the Net of Light will do untold good,” the Grandmothers said. “We are calling you to service now. You are needed. Do not miss this opportunity. We thank you and bless you.”

WE can and WE will

RE: OUR DEAR FELLOWSHIP

 [From Rosenet]

Good morning friends.

Like many others, I have read the last posts questioning and providing radical solutions to the problems that afflict us and cause woe in relation to our dear Fellowship, its headquarters, administration, and so on, and as the new summer is here, I cannot avoid turning my thoughts toward our source of inspiration, our Lord the Christ, and telling Him THANKS for all the gifts bestowed upon us, so here is my reflection.

This seed thought is taken from The New Age Bible Interpretation, Vol V, page 29, by Corinne Heline:

Throughout the Old Testament, man is admonished to fear God. Under Jehova´s regime crystallization was inevitable but the coming of Christ ushered in a new dispensation wherein man learned to find the Christ within himself.

Also, we have the wonderful diagram number 5 of the Rosicrucian Cosmo Conception:

Diagram 5 shows the Tenfold Constitution of Man.

Man is a threefold Spirit, possessing a Mind by means of which he governs a threefold Body, which he emanated from himself to gather experience.  This threefold body he transmutes into a threefold Soul upon which he nourishes himself from impotence to omnipotence.

The mirror of Mind also contributes increasingly to spiritual growth, as the thoughts which it transmits to and from the Spirit, polish it to greater brightness, sharpening and intensifying its focus more and more to a single point, perfectly flexible and under the control of the Spirit.

So, speaking about powers, it is clear that we, all of us, have INSIDE:

             A President  (The Divine Spirit)

A Human Relationships Vice President  (The Life Spirit)

An Operations Vice President (Our Human Spirit)

Of course we have INSIDE more middle management chiefs, directors and a lot of operators doing the most minute tasks…  Is this a problem?  Of course not !!   All we need is to respond to the call of our Lord !!!  And put into action what we really are INSIDE…

Max Heindel stated the law of success in his last Letter to Students which we can paraphrase for this need. The law of success with the RF Administration may then be stated as follows:

First, determine definitely and clearly that YOU want a Wonderful Rosicrucian Fellowship Headquarters.

Second, never harbor a single thought of fear or failure for a moment, but cultivate an attitude of invincible determination to accomplish your objective despite all obstacles.  Constantly hold the thought, “WE can and WE will.”  A mind swayed by the slightest fear of failure cannot make plans that will fully succeed.

When you have reached the point where you are fully persuaded that you can have A SOUND RF and you are positively determined that you will succeed in this pursuit, there is no power on earth or in heaven that can withstand you in that particular pursuit; and you may then plan how to go about attaining your heart’s desire with certainty of success.

So my friends, I hope we will all be engaged in this noble task… as SUMMER IS HERE.

Bridge Across the Brook

Ger W quotes Max Heindel in Chapter 10 of Max Heindel and The Rosicrucian Fellowship [behind the BOOKS tab].   After the Easter sunrise sevice of April 12, 1914, Heindel addressed those who gathered at the Founder’s Cross, saying in part:

Haitian Tree of Life

“The second cutting [of the tree of life] was to be used in Solomon’s Temple. No one could appreciate it except the Queen of Sheba, no place could be found for it, for Solomon’s Temple is the consummation of the arts and craft, and in a material civilization nothing spiritual is appreciated. The sons of Cain are working out their salvation along material lines, and therefore they have no use for spiritual powers. So it was used as a bridge across the brook. There are always souls, the real, true Mystic Masons, who have been able to make use of that bridge, which leads from the visible to the invisible, who are able to return to the Garden of Eden, to Paradise, across that bridge.”

Chapter 10 Still More Building Activities, describes the creative bursts of – editing the already-published manuscripts for the book, Freemasonry and Catholicism; drawing plans for a new classroom and performance-hall building; holding the first healing service; building a new cafeteria to replace the too-small kitchen and dining room; and laying the cornerstone for The Ecclesia.

Hello Friends,

I am a graduate student of economics and have read Max Heindel’s Cosmo Conception.  I recently came across this article called “And man made life”.  I just wanted to post this on the rf friends blog and see what your thoughts are on this subject.

Synthetic biology

And man made life

Artificial life, the stuff of dreams and nightmares, has arrived

May 20th 2010 | From The Economist print edition

TO CREATE life is the prerogative of gods. Deep in the human psyche, whatever the rational pleadings of physics and chemistry, there exists a sense that biology is different, is more than just the sum of atoms moving about and reacting with one another, is somehow infused with a divine spark, a vital essence. It may come as a shock, then, that mere mortals have now made artificial life.

Craig Venter and Hamilton Smith, the two American biologists who unravelled the first DNA sequence of a living organism (a bacterium) in 1995, have made a bacterium that has an artificial genome—creating a living creature with no ancestor (see article). Pedants may quibble that only the DNA of the new beast was actually manufactured in a laboratory; the researchers had to use the shell of an existing bug to get that DNA to do its stuff. Nevertheless, a Rubicon has been crossed. It is now possible to conceive of a world in which new bacteria (and eventually, new animals and plants) are designed on a computer and then grown to order.

That ability would prove mankind’s mastery over nature in a way more profound than even the detonation of the first atomic bomb. The bomb, however justified in the context of the second world war, was purely destructive. Biology is about nurturing and growth. Synthetic biology, as the technology that this and myriad less eye-catching advances are ushering in has been dubbed, promises much. In the short term it promises better drugs, less thirsty crops (see article), greener fuels and even a rejuvenated chemical industry. In the longer term who knows what marvels could be designed and grown?

On the face of it, then, artificial life looks like a wonderful thing. Yet that is not how many will view the announcement. For them, a better word than “creation” is “tampering”. Have scientists got too big for their boots? Will their hubris bring Nemesis in due course? What horrors will come creeping out of the flask on the laboratory bench?

Such questions are not misplaced—and should give pause even to those, including this newspaper, who normally embrace advances in science with enthusiasm. The new biological science does have the potential to do great harm, as well as good. “Predator” and “disease” are just as much part of the biological vocabulary as “nurturing” and “growth”. But for good or ill it is here. Creating life is no longer the prerogative of gods.

Children of a lesser god

It will be a while, yet, before lifeforms are routinely designed on a laptop. But this will come. The past decade, since the completion of the Human Genome Project, has seen two related developments that make it almost inevitable. One is an extraordinary rise in the speed, and fall in the cost, of analysing the DNA sequences that encode the natural “software” of life. What once took years and cost millions now takes days and costs thousands. Databases are filling up with the genomes of everything from the tiniest virus to the tallest tree.

These genomes are the raw material for synthetic biology. First, they will provide an understanding of how biology works right down to the atomic level. That can then be modelled in human-designed software so that synthetic biologists will be able to assemble new constellations of genes with a reasonable presumption that they will work in a predictable way. Second, the genome databases are a warehouse that can be raided for whatever part a synthetic biologist requires.

The other development is faster and cheaper DNA synthesis. This has lagged a few years behind DNA analysis, but seems to be heading in the same direction. That means it will soon be possible for almost anybody to make DNA to order, and dabble in synthetic biology.

That is good, up to a point. Innovation works best when it is a game that anyone can play. The more ideas there are, the better the chance some will prosper. Unfortunately and inevitably, some of those ideas will be malicious. And the problem with malicious biological inventions—unlike, say, guns and explosives—is that once released, they can breed by themselves.

Biology really is different

The Home Brew computing club launched Steve Jobs and Apple, but similar ventures produced a thousand computer viruses. What if a home-brew synthetic-biology club were accidentally to launch a real virus or bacterium? What if a terrorist were to do the same deliberately?

The risk of accidentally creating something bad is probably low. Most bacteria opt for an easy life breaking down organic material that is already dead. It doesn’t fight back. Living hosts do. Creating something bad deliberately, whether the creator is a teenage hacker, a terrorist or a rogue state, is a different matter. No one now knows how easy it would be to turbo-charge an existing human pathogen, or take one that infects another type of animal and assist its passage over the species barrier. We will soon find out, though.

It is hard to know how to address this threat. The reflex, to restrict and ban, has worked (albeit far from perfectly) for more traditional sorts of biological weapons. Those, though, have been in the hands of states. The ubiquity of computer viruses shows what can happen when technology gets distributed.

Thoughtful observers of synthetic biology favour a different approach: openness. This avoids shutting out the good in a belated attempt to prevent the bad. Knowledge cannot be unlearned, so the best way to oppose the villains is to have lots of heroes on your side. Then, when a problem arises, an answer can be found quickly. If pathogens can be designed by laptop, vaccines can be, too. And, just as “open source” software lets white-hat computer nerds work against the black-hats, so open-source biology would encourage white-hat geneticists.

Regulation—and, especially, vigilance—will still be needed. Keeping an eye out for novel diseases is sensible even when such diseases are natural. Monitoring needs to be redoubled and co-ordinated. Then, whether natural or artificial, the full weight of synthetic biology can be brought to bear on the problem. Encourage the good to outwit the bad and, with luck, you keep Nemesis at bay.

Ye Shall Find Rest

Ye Shall Find Rest

Dear friends,

“Then saith he unto his disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few ….” Matthew 9:37.

“Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? Behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest. “ John 4:35.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; fo

For I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

The Rosicrucian Teachings advise us to “develop the ego and give it to Christ.” Yet we do not always readily give Christ our willingness to work. We are too busy continuing to develop the ego even though we have already developed it far more than necessary. Often it takes an obstacle such as an illness to remind us to stop, turn inward, and listen to Christ’s message.

Two reports received recently offer us inspiration for healing prayer this week. Edie sent the passage, “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few.” A parallel passage tells us that the fields are “white already for harvest.”

The “white fields” are Christ’s light and love waiting in eternal abundance for laborers willing to share them with those in need who do not yet realize that this divine offering is free to all. Illness in ourselves or others is just that opportunity to turn from developing the ego to sharing the labor (love and light) of Christ.

Christ Jesus reminds us, “… my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” When we join together (yoke) with Christ, we share a “burden” or message of “light.” This burden does not weigh us down, rather it lifts us up. It is Christ’s gift to us and to others that always strengthens us and never depletes our energy, for as we share Christ’s love with others we receive it ourselves.

If you are ever tempted to skip the privileged time we share in healing prayer, remind yourself that this time does not expend energy; it releases both energy and love, our greatest need in order to experience the fullness of life. Any time you feel burdened, join with Christ and share his abundance.

Thank you for laboring with Christ to share his love and life where it is most needed.

Peace,
John

Resist Not

Dear friends,

“Then said Pilate unto him, Hearest thou not how many things they witness against thee? And he answered him to never a word; Matthew 27:13-14.

“Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. “ Matthew 5:38-39.

We emphasized in our discussion of Easter that it was a celebration of life and resurrection rather than of death and crucifixion. Related to the topic of life is the quality of non-resistance. When Jesus was taken before Pilate, he neither resisted nor defended himself in any way. In fact he recommended “that ye resist not evil.”

“Resist not” and “turn the other cheek” mean only that we should demonstrate to others that we cannot be hurt when only the body is hurt. Since only mind and spirit are real, attack on the body only destroys the tool of spirit and cannot attack spirit itself.

Resist not relates to healing as well. In healing prayer we assume that healing begins with the mind. We do not focus on the body, but rather we assume that the person in need of healing really needs to regain his or her connection with Christ’s love. Our job in healing prayer is to establish the connection from Christ through us to those in need of healing.

Thank you once again for extending Christ’s love and life to those in need of healing.

Peace,  John
